First-time Wi-Fi setup
Power the panel with the included power adapter. On a new unit, it starts a hotspot named PixelArtDisplay_Setup. Join it, open 192.168.4.1, pick your network and enter the password — from any browser or from the companion app. The panel reboots onto your Wi-Fi and prints its address on screen.
Finding it on your network
Type http://pixelartdisplay.local in any browser on the same Wi-Fi. If your router blocks mDNS (some mesh systems do), use the IP address shown on the panel's boot screen or check your router's DHCP client list.
Syncing the clock
Open the web UI and hit Sync Time. The browser sends the current time to the panel and writes it to the hardware RTC, so the clock stays correct even with the Wi-Fi off.
Updating firmware
Open the panel's status page and choose Check for update, then Upgrade. Firmware lands on the inactive A/B slot and only becomes active after a successful verify — a failed update automatically rolls back.
Re-pairing the controller
Hold the pair button on the controller for three seconds while the panel is powered. The link is ESP-NOW based, so pairing works even with no Wi-Fi network present.
Factory reset / re-provision
From the web UI choose Forget network, or send the W command through the API. The panel clears stored credentials and restarts into setup hotspot mode.

No — but you can. The panel serves its own web UI: connect it to your Wi-Fi once, then open pixelartdisplay.local (or its IP address) in any browser on the same network. If you prefer an app, the free companion app handles setup and everyday control over the same local connection. Either way there's no account and no cloud relay.
Nothing extra — a 5V / 3A power adapter ships in the box. Plug it into any standard wall outlet and you're done. Mains power is what lets the panel hold full brightness with every LED lit, something a phone charger or battery pack can't sustain.
Yes. Two M3 threaded inserts on the back plate line up with the included wall-mount plate, and the USB-C port is recessed so the panel sits flush. A desktop stand is also in the box.
Yes. The arcade game, clock, spectrum and environment modes all run standalone. If no network is available, the panel can also start its own local hotspot so you can still control it from your phone.
The firmware is open and hackable — you can flash your own builds over USB-C or OTA, drive it through the documented REST API, or remap the controller. We publish update notes with every release.

Warranty
PixelArtDisplay includes a 12-month limited hardware warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. If a unit fails within the warranty period we repair or replace it at no cost. Damage from modification, liquid ingress or over-voltage input is not covered — but write to us anyway, we're reasonable.
Privacy
PixelArtDisplay runs entirely on your local network. There is no cloud account, no telemetry upload and no third-party analytics tracker on the device. We collect only what you give us at checkout in order to fulfill and support your order.
